This past weekend I attended the Sweet Streets Art Exhibition Co-Curated by Spank! at the WWA Gallery in Culver City. I am a HUGE fan of the Tokyo fashion brand Spank!, so I was super excited to attend and also meet shop creator, Tavuchi.  For those who aren’t familiar, Spank! is inspired by 80s style and the "just want to have fun" attitude of Cyndi Lauper, My Little Pony, Barbie, and everything in between. This particular show explored the relationship between 1980s American and Japanese pop-cultures by a fresh mix of artists. I had such a great time checking out the artwork, fashion show (by Spank! and Chubby Bunny), live music, pop-up shop and mingling with friends.
